Global climate action has been focused heavily on mitigation, but as the likelihood of meeting the Paris target of 1.5C warming diminishes, the need to climate-proof our economies is becoming more urgent. While investment is increasingly flowing to renewables, energy efficiency and clean infrastructure, there is a significant gap in public and private investments for climate adaptation and disaster resilience. This event will bring Climate Leaders and Ministers together to highlight the role of partnerships and how countries can build their preparedness for a changing climate using cutting-edge adaptation practices and innovative finance instruments.
