5 December 2023
On December 5, 2023, the MBMF Foundation stands in support of the UNICEF Food Program for the children of Palestine. In the face of ongoing conflict and hardship, the children of Gaza City and beyond are in dire need of humanitarian assistance. We recognize the importance of providing essential support during these times of crisis, especially for the most vulnerable members of society—children.
As we pray for the safety and peace of both Israel and Palestine, our hearts go out to all innocent civilians affected by the violence and suffering. Both nations are descendants of Abraham, and we believe in the profound teachings of Jesus Christ, who calls us to love one another, particularly in times of need. Jesus teaches us to show compassion to all, especially those enduring disaster, war, poverty, and oppression.
From the ongoing humanitarian crises in Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Burundi, to the devastation in Palestine, it is essential that we extend our support and compassion to those suffering. Our collective efforts can help provide relief, restore hope, and offer practical aid in the face of adversity.
At the MBMF Foundation, we are reminded that God is our ultimate provider. By the grace of Father God in Jesus Christ, we are called to be vessels of love and assistance to those in need, irrespective of borders, race, or religion. We encourage others to join in this humanitarian effort, extending support to those in Gaza and other affected areas through programs like UNICEF's food initiative.
May God's grace guide us all in our efforts to bring peace, healing, and restoration to those affected by conflict. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.
Amen.
On October 7, 2023, we at the MBMF Foundation joined in prayer for months and solidarity with the people of Israel during a time of deep crisis. The tragic events that unfolded that day, marked by violence and suffering, left many innocent lives at risk. As an organization founded on the principles of compassion, justice, and peace, we believe in the power of prayer to bring healing and restoration to all corners of the world, especially during times of turmoil.
In particular, we lifted up in prayer the many hostages taken, asking for their safe release and the protection of their families. We prayed for their strength, courage, and for the hands of peace to intervene on their behalf. Our hearts are with those who are suffering, and we call upon God’s divine intervention to bring all hostages home safely.
Additionally, we prayed for the peace of Israel, asking for wisdom, understanding, and compassion to guide the leaders and citizens in this turbulent time. Our prayer is that Israel, a land that has faced many trials and tribulations, will know the peace that surpasses all understanding—a peace that heals wounds, bridges divides, and fosters unity within the nation and beyond.
We are reminded in the Scriptures that peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice, reconciliation, and a shared commitment to love. As we join our voices in prayer, we are united with all who seek peace and freedom, not only for Israel but for the whole of humanity.
At the MBMF Foundation, we stand firm in our belief that prayer has the power to transform, heal, and restore. We continue to pray for those affected by the violence in Israel, and we invite our global community to join us in this call for peace.
May God’s hand be upon Israel, guiding the leaders and people toward a future of security, justice, and peace.

In the Face of War, We Stand for Peace, Life, and Healing
Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24, 2022, the world has watched in disbelief as the country has faced unimaginable devastation. As we mark a second year of this ongoing conflict, the MBMF Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the Ukrainian people in their time of need.
Our core mission has been clear from the outset: to save lives, provide essential medical aid, deliver food, and contribute to rebuilding efforts. In line with our values of compassion and humanitarian support, the MBMF Foundation has focused all efforts on saving lives rather than supporting any form of war or defense equipment. We do not contribute to the escalation of the conflict but, instead, focus on alleviating suffering, aiding recovery, and bringing hope to the people of Ukraine.
We have partnered with organizations like UNITED24, which supports Ukraine’s humanitarian response, to help provide ambulances, medical supplies, and vital care for those affected by the conflict. The MBMF Foundation has been directly involved in funding critical resources such as medicines, food aid, and the rebuilding of vital infrastructure, including bridges and hospitals. This is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that the Ukrainian people receive the help they need to survive and rebuild their lives.
In the face of such devastation, we turn to prayer for peace. We pray for the protection of innocent lives, for the end of violence, and for lasting peace to prevail in Ukraine and beyond. We believe that the road to peace begins with the preservation of life and the collective will to heal wounds, both physical and emotional.
At the MBMF Foundation, we are committed to continuing our work in Ukraine and standing with the Ukrainian people as they rebuild their country. Through our partnerships and donations, we are working tirelessly to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those who need it most, particularly in areas that have been hardest hit by the conflict.
It is important to emphasize that the MBMF Foundation does not support or fund any military or defense equipment. Our sole focus remains on humanitarian aid, with an unwavering commitment to saving lives and providing support for those most in need. We are proud to continue our support for ambulances, doctors, medics, and medical staff, who are on the front lines of this crisis, saving lives and providing care to the injured.
We have also prioritized providing essential food aid, ensuring that Ukrainians, particularly those in the most vulnerable regions, have access to the nutrition and sustenance they need to survive. This is our way of standing in solidarity with the people of Ukraine—offering not just material support, but also hope for a better future.

Advancing Climate Justice, Health, and Sustainability on the Global Stage
Under the G20 India Presidency in 2023, the MBMF Foundation had the honor and privilege of joining the Civil 20 (C20)—a critical engagement group representing civil society organizations worldwide. The C20 serves as a platform to advocate for inclusive policies that address global challenges and advance sustainable development goals.
With a spirit of humility and wisdom, the MBMF Foundation actively contributed to two key C20 Working Groups:
Sustainable & Resilient Communities: Climate, Environment, & Net Zero Targets
Integrated Holistic Health
Through its engagement with the C20, the MBMF Foundation collaborated with experts, policymakers, and civil society leaders to draft the Preamble, Communiqué, and Policy Pack for the G20 Summit. These documents serve as vital recommendations for G20 leaders to address pressing global issues, focusing on:
1. Climate Justice and Sustainable Communities:
Advocating for equitable climate policies that support vulnerable nations in transitioning to net zero emissions while ensuring environmental sustainability.
Highlighting the importance of empowering local communities to build climate resilience and adapt to the challenges of global warming.
Promoting access to sustainable technologies and renewable energy, with a focus on funding mechanisms to support developing nations.
2. Integrated and Holistic Health:
Addressing global health challenges through an integrated approach that emphasizes mental, physical, and community well-being.
Strengthening healthcare systems to ensure equitable access to medical services, especially in regions affected by climate change, disasters, and socio-economic disparities.
Advocating for investments in public health infrastructure, preventive care, and education to build resilient health systems worldwide.
Representing the MBMF Foundation, Budi Margono humbly contributed to shaping the discussions and outcomes of these working groups. His focus included:
Climate Justice: Developing actionable recommendations to achieve net zero targets while prioritizing justice for nations disproportionately affected by climate change.
Holistic Health: Advocating for innovative health solutions that integrate traditional and modern practices, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in global health policies.
The C20 Policy Pack reflects a unified call for global solidarity to address the challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, and health inequities. These recommendations, presented to the G20 Summit under India’s presidency, highlight the importance of collaboration between governments, civil society, and the private sector to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The MBMF Foundation’s involvement in the C20 is a testament to its commitment to fostering sustainable and resilient communities and advancing holistic health solutions. By engaging in the G20 process, the foundation is contributing to shaping a future rooted in equity, sustainability, and global well-being.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to India’s G20 Presidency, the C20 Secretariat, and all civil society partners for fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration. With humility, wisdom, and determination, we aim to help pave the way for a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world.
